2017 Community Responses

On Friday, May 5, a tornado touched down in Powhatan County. The county’s Emergency Manager requested chain saw teams to assist homeowners, and volunteers cleared debris from multiple homes.

A Search and Rescue operation launched in Chesapeake after a senior adult woman went missing on Saturday, June 3. Our volunteers provided 360 meals to support the SAR personnel.
